Niue is an island in the South Pacific Ocean in a triangle with the Cook Islands, Tonga and Samoa.

Nuie is self-governing but also in free association with New Zealand. English is taught in schools and used in business and communications.

The island is the world’s largest coral island with a coral reef surrounding it. Several limestone caves can be found near the coast.

Niue’s economy is small and after the island was damaged by Cyclone Heta the government gave $l million for the private sector. This money was used to help the cyclone damaged businesses and the construction of the Fonuakula Industrial Park. This park is now up and running with businesses are in operation.
